Juris Doctor

The Abraham Lincoln University School of Law offers a non-Bar Juris Doctor degree program for those students seeking a graduate or professional degree, but do not wish to take the bar exam or practice law. The non-Bar students will not be eligible to take the California Bar Exam after graduation. The admission requirements for non-Bar applicants are the same as for Bar applicant, however, there is no limitation on the time that a student can take to complete his or her course work. (e.g. a student may accelerate his or her course work, and therefore, finish the Non-Bar JD degree program in less than 4 years).

Our goal is to meet the specific educational needs of today's busy professional. Attend classes once a week, evenings or Saturdays. Students unable to attend classes may access lectures via the internet or order audio tapes.

About this school

Abraham Lincoln University

The Intimacy and Vibrance of Traditional On-Campus Instruction....
...The Flexibility and Independence of Distance Learning

Affordable Tuition: Tuition is less than 25% of traditional law schools. Interest-free tuition payment plan is available. Low interest academic loans (Sallie Mae) are available to qualified students. In addition, special scholarships are awarded every year.

Quality: The academic staff and teaching faculty are all members of the California Bar or Bench. Through the use of traditional educational materials (casebooks, hornbooks and law summaries) it is our objective to maintain standards comparable to those of resident institutions. In fact our Bar pass rate for first-time takers for the last two Bar Exams (July 2002 and February 2003) exceeded the first-time takers Bar pass rate for California Bar Accredited Law Schools.

Credentials: Abraham Lincoln University is approved for operation by the Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education. Our Juris Doctor Program is registered with the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State of California.
