The E-Business Management students will gain the knowledge and advance skills to plan, maintain and manage strategies for the Internet, intranets and extranets. Whether the student desires to lead a large organization's E-Business endeavors, become an entrepreneur or take a lead in global markets, the degree program provides an environment for students to expand their practical experience, technical knowledge and gain insights for success in the rapidly evolving e-commerce arena. The cohort setting allows students build on their own experiences while learning from the experiences of others.

Some examples of these assignments and techniques include:


Exploration of several key areas of E-Business including strategic planning, web design, general management theory, as well as project management, operations, networks, marketing, managerial accounting, security and legal issues, as well as emerging technologies through study, comparison, problem solving, critical analysis, reports and presentations.
Recognize and prepare for the unique and evolving management aspects that leaders of E-Business face today.
The E-Business Capstone Project, a detailed business plan for a website of the student's choosing, that integrates much of the information gathered throughout the program. The project developed throughout the entire degree program is presented to the entire class during the last course in the program.
Classes offered in the classroom environment include formal and informal presentations and evaluations to help strengthen group, public speaking, and critical thinking skills. Online students develop stronger written communication, planning and group skills, enhancing ability to communicate and work with others in remote locations.

Students can expect to learn:


How to analyze and critique websites through research, review and comparison of existing and proposed e-marketing endeavors.
How E-Business managers create, promote, deliver and evaluate secure consumer and business e-commerce initiatives.
How to analyze market conditions to make decisions about future development activities.
How to analyze and interpret current and pending state and federal laws and legislation effecting e-commerce.
How to conduct market research and utilize information gathered to increase success of projects.
How to create an Internet commerce architecture and strategy to support projects.
How to conduct scholarly research using library and internet sources to support plans, projects and papers.
