Champlain College's innovative approach allows you to build your own business degree specialty to fit your unique interests and needs. Participation in an internship, entrepreneurial projects and team-based activities with direct linkages to our business community help build a solid base in business fundamentals, while allowing you to learn from hands-on, “real-life” experiences.
With the help of an advisory board of business leaders, this degree program was developed to include a Business Core to teach you the skills you'll need to work in any enterprise, whether it is small, large, for-profit or nonprofit. You'll learn time-proven business and management skills including accounting, marketing, financial modeling and organizational behavior as well
as new and exciting skills such as team leadership, Internet/information technologies, project management and creative problem solving.
Beyond the Business Core, you have the flexibility to customize your Business degree to truly match your unique interests by choosing two specialty areas from more than a dozen Business clusters (see below) including:

Program particulars
Build a solid Business degree that is uniquely your own based on your combination of interests and career goals. By choosing two Business clusters from 13 business specialty areas (listed below), you don't need to commit your degree to a single focus.
Starting your first semester, you'll begin building a strong core business curriculum designed to ensure successful employment in any organization.
Gain hands-on experience through at least one internship at a company such as IDX Systems, Merrill Lynch, American Express, Gadfly Records, Primerica, Belden Wire & Cable, Flynn Centre for the Performing Arts, Shark Communications and Higher Ground music venue, or another company that fits your interests and goals.
Work in teams on “real-life” projects for a start-up, an existing business or a nonprofit organization while developing vital skills in marketing research, financial planning or product design. Many courses use a hands-on approach to build your experience and creativity, skills that are then applied directly to help a sponsoring business.
