Concord Law School
Doctors Degree
Executive JD Program

Anyone wanting to gain a sophisticated knowledge of the law and sharpen their analytical reasoning and communication skills should consider the Executive Juris Doctor degree. This law degree, pioneered by Concord Law School, provides an exciting alternative to the JD degree for those who have a personal or professional interest in a challenging law education, but do not want to address the regulatory requirements associated with becoming a member of the bar.

Applicants who have completed a bachelor's degree or graduate program in a regionally or DETC-accredited institution in the United States will be considered for admission to Concord's Executive Juris Doctor program. The EJD program is a 72-unit, part-time program; unlike the four-year JD degree program, it is usually completed in three years. During their first year, students take the same foundation courses as JD law degree students. After the first year, students are encouraged to construct a curriculum plan centered on their interests and career needs. These may include a focus on such specialty areas as:
  • HealthLaw Track—Students in this track take an introductory health law course and a sequence of specialized courses that may include Health Policy, Bioethics, and Risk Management. The many health care professionals enrolled in this track contribute to its liveliness and depth.
  • Law and Technology Track—Students in this track take required coursework as well as elective technology options, through an agreement with Kaplan University.
  • Criminal Justice Track—Students in this track, with a background or interest in criminal justice, take required courses and elective criminal justice courses through an agreement with Kaplan University.
