Sometimes students do not need a bachelor's degree to attain their career goals. Thats why Liberty offers an Associate of Arts (A. A.) in Religion as well as in General Studies.

Graduates with an A. A. in General Studies complete the same general education requirements as in a bachelor's degree - including courses like English, Mathematics, Sciences and Government, as well as Bible courses such as Old Testament, New Testament, and Theology. If you simply need an associate's degree to advance in your current career, or would like additional education for self-accomplishment, the A.A. in General Studies might be just the degree for you.

Both the A. A. in Religion and in General Studies take approximately two years to complete — but with the flexibility of distance learning you can work at your own pace.

Note Arkansas residents: The General Education hours contained in the Associate of Arts in General Studies offered through the Liberty University correspondence programs will not satisfy Arkansas' minimum requirements if a student wishes to pursue a baccalaureate degree from a school located in Arkansas.

Here's what students are saying about Liberty University's Distance Learning Program:

" I am glad that I enrolled in the DLP because spiritually I grew through the program. Between 1995 and 2000, I got married, had three children, and moved twice... I also earned my MA in Counseling, which was my dream. It was hard, but it was well worth it"

—Sacia Dear

"Because of Liberty University's Distance Learning Program, I am able to assist my husband in his ministry."

—Edna Cogdell: Germany

"Because I was established in my career, I did not want to relocate in order to pursue my education. The convenience and flexibility of the program really appealed to me."

—Gary Coiro: Westerville, Ohio

"Teaching school full-time and being a single mother of three children, there was no way that I could have gone to a university ...I would have been 100 years old before I finished! I also couldn't be gone from the house late at night. The Distance Learning Program worked well for me because I could study late at night - it's convenient. It's been a big help that way."

—Lisa Gordon
