If you are a busy working adult with a dream to further your career and education, earning your Associate of Arts in Psychology is the first step toward gaining the knowledge and skills you need to achieve your professional goals.

Liberty University’s® Associate of Arts in Psychology program provides students with a foundational background for understanding relevant facts and concepts of human behavior, including the sociocultural context in which psychology emerged. Students will develop familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative methods of research, as well as methods for presenting their research. Additionally, they will understand the importance of utilizing ethical principles of psychologists through psychological theory, practice, and research. Students will learn to use critical thinking in understanding the similarities and differences between themselves and others, and will grasp the roles that gender, race, ethnicity, culture, and class play in affecting all human perspectives and experiences.

The Associate of Arts in Psychology degree serves as an excellent stepping stone toward earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, which is also offered online through Liberty's Distance Learning Program.

Bruce Jolly
Master of Arts in Religion

As an aerospace engineer in the United States Air Force, I really appreciated the flexibility afforded me through Liberty’s Distance Learning Program. The virtual classroom provided a real classroom feel, and tools like the online discussion board cultivated great discussion and interaction between both students and faculty. My wife and I are interested in working in the mission field, so the opportunity to finish a master’s program in religion while maintaining a full-time job and caring for my family was a real blessing. I am thankful for the new knowledge I possess, as the degree program has been great preparation for our future mission work.

Avril Watt
Master in Business Administration

Last summer I made the decision to switch jobs and join a growing manufacturing company in their accounts job department. I accepted a lower-level position, but was asked to show what I had learned through my MBA studies. After only three months, I was given a very positive review and a handsome pay increase. A short time later, I was delighted to be promoted to a management position. My personal income has doubled, with the potential for several further increases in the next couple of years. I am using…the principles I learned through the MBA program, and I am very appreciative to the faculty of Liberty for investing their time and skills into such a great Distance Learning Program.
