The University offers aviation programs at both the associate and bachelor’s degree levels. Both programs are offered entirely through distance learning and provide credit for FAA certifications and ratings. The University does not offer flight or maintenance training but does offer academic credit for FAA certificates and ratings. Offered entirely through distance learning, the bachelor’s degree program in aviation leadership and management combines business, management and specialized aviation courses with credit for FAA certifications in a program designed to meet the needs of working aviation professionals. Focused on current and projected industry needs, the program is appropriate for those involved in aviation management or maintenance and flight operations. Degree Requirements The B.S. program in aviation leadership and management includes coursework in three areas: general education requirements, leadership and management, and aviation studies. Academic credit for FAA certificates and ratings can be applied to the program, with approved electives for any remaining hours. Offered entirely through distance learning, the associate degree in aviation technology combines Federal Aviation Administration certifications with general education coursework and specialized studies in aviation in a program designed to provide an academic foundation for aviation professionals. Degree Requirements The A.S. program in aviation technology includes coursework in general education requirements and business management. Academic credit for FAA certificates and ratings can be applied to the program, with approved aviation electives for any remaining hours.
