The B.S. in business administration is offered with concentrations in finance, hospitality, management, and marketing. The program provides the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to enter a professional business career or to pursue graduate study in business. Degree requirements include 51 semester hours of business core courses, a set of concentration requirements, and 15 hours of practicum credit in addition to the University’s general education requirements. In addition to traditional classroom study, both the business core and management concentration requirements are available in an accelerated format that meets two evenings a week. The associate degree in business administration qualifies students for entry-level positions or continued study toward a bachelor’s degree. It is offered with concentrations in management and marketing. Business Core The business core is required of all bachelor’s degree students. Most coursework is offered in a series of eight-week sessions, with two classes in each session; the remaining coursework is offered through independent study. Students who are pursuing traditional classroom study can choose to complete some of their degree requirements with accelerated courses.
