According to Yahoo! Internet Life (1998-2001), New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is the country's perennially "most wired" university -- a distinction primarily due to our prowess in anytime, anyplace, online learning. As the university which coined and trademarked the term, "Virtual Classroom®" in the 1980's, now NJIT offers qualified high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn a 6-undergraduate credit WebMeister Certificate through our instructor-led, on-line learning program, now in its third summer.

Introduction to Scripting
Description:
The WebMeister courses are delivered to students via the Internet, using WebCT as the delivery platform, and can be a jumpstart toward a college degree at NJIT or elsewhere.
An NJIT instructor mentors students--who study anytime of the day or night--by leading threaded collaborative discussions, providing feedback, grading electronic assessments, and awarding academic credits. Hardware requirements are an IBM compatible system and Internet connection. All required software is provided.
