The Solaris Operating Environment is the foundation on which some of the world's leading companies are built. Approximately half of all Web servers run on some form of Unix, with Solaris being a predominant Unix implementation. This degree program prepares students to become certified system administrators for Solaris, and more broadly, to become effective system administrators for other implementations of Unix as well.
