The University recognizes that in today's complex and competitive world, there is a growing need for professionals trained at the doctoral level in business. Therefore, the University offers the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree which emphasizes research and preparation for scholarship and systematic inquiry, and requires a dissertation.

Managers must know how to manage and allocate resources in order to ensure long-term profitability and organizational health. This specialization concentrates on developing these essential skills.
Graduation Requirements:
A total of 81 semester units at the graduate level beyond the Bachelor's degree must meet the following requirements: A minimum of 51 units of graduate work must be completed through the University: 27 units in instruction, and 24 units in dissertation preparation courses including the submission and defense of an accepted dissertation. Cumulative grade point average of "B", 3.0, or higher. Satisfactory completion of the doctoral comprehensive assessment. All financial obligations to the University paid in full. Official transcripts on file for all transfer units accepted by the University, and for basis of admission.
The University may accept a maximum of 30 semester units in transfer toward the Doctorate degree for graduate course work completed at an accredited college or university with a grade average of "B" or better.
