The objectives of the Master's Psychology degree programs are to enable individuals to continue their formal professional education at the graduate level in the behavioral science of psychology.

Objectives:
The objectives of the Master's Psychology degree programs are:
1. To enable individuals to continue their formal professional education at the graduate level in the behavioral science of psychology
2. To provide them with the knowledge and skills for professional growth such as advancement in employment, status, and position
3. To encourage personal growth, self-improvement, intellectual accomplishment, and global awareness
4. To enable individuals to integrate formal academic learning with individual and community problems so that meaningful personalized learning takes place
5. To prepare and encourage individuals to continue their education in psychology at the doctoral level

Admission Requirements:
An applicant is eligible for admission to the MA in Psychology degree program by meeting one of the following criteria:
1. An earned Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related studies from an accredited college or university; or
2. A regionally accredited Bachelor's degree in another field may be accepted when the University's evaluation indicates the applicant has the necessary academic foundation and experience to succeed in the program.

Requirements:
The MA requires 36 semester units (12 NCU courses). If you transfer a maximum of 6 graduate units from another university, then 30 units (10 courses) must be completed through NCU. The required minimum courses consist of Fundamental Courses and Specialization Courses. Your Academic Advisor will assist you to develop your individualized Degree Plan to meet your learning objectives.

Specializations:
To earn a specialization that will be recorded on your transcript and diploma, you must satisfy, by transfer or completion, a minimum of 18 units in any one area. If you do not want a specialization, then select courses that interest you from several areas.

Industrial/Organizational Psychology

The Industrial/Organizational Psychology degree program trains Learners to work in a variety of settings. This degree program prepares Learners for research and field experience. Within the industrial and organizational program, the Learner is expected to become competent in theory, research, and applications of psychology as they relate to human behavior in organizations. The degree program emphasizes the contributions of both industrial and organizational psychology to the understanding of people in their world of work. Training is received in conducting basic and applied research, and in the applications of theory and research to organizational and human resource management problems in organizations.
