The Master of Education (M.Ed) program is suited to Learners who want to combine a strong understanding of current theory and practice in education and/or organizational leadership with their personal needs and career focus. The Master of Education also provides Learners with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for doctoral level study.

Curricula reflecting the preparation guidelines of national learned societies and groups is designed to provide Learners with an opportunity to select electives or a specialization and focus their studies on courses that meet their individual needs.

Learners who plan on pursuing state licensing or certification through their coursework are advised to check with state or national requirements before selecting a course of study.

The School Improvement Leadership (SIL) specialization guides individuals with leadership responsibilities within schools toward a deeper understanding of the need for the development, implementation, and regular review of improvement plans and strategies. Learners will increase their knowledge and practical experience as leaders of school improvement, through effective communication and reflective practice, while gaining a deeper understanding of the range of school improvement approaches.
