The Master of Education (M.Ed) program is suited to Learners who want to combine a strong understanding of current theory and practice in education and/or organizational leadership with their personal needs and career focus. The Master of Education also provides Learners with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for doctoral level study.

Curricula reflecting the preparation guidelines of national learned societies and groups is designed to provide Learners with an opportunity to select electives or a specialization and focus their studies on courses that meet their individual needs.

Learners who plan on pursuing state licensing or certification through their coursework are advised to check with state or national requirements before selecting a course of study.

The preparation of trainers, consultants, human resource educators, and program developers is addressed in this dynamic, integrative specialization. Theoretical and practical information from Organizational Leadership, Adult Education, Systems and Human Resource areas serve as the foundation and framework for this specialization. The Training and Development specialization prepares individuals to identify emerging workplace/workforce issues and to translate these issues into effective, comprehensive action-oriented learning agendas for their organization.

M.Ed. Learners may select from the Leadership Academy or the Action Research Project as their capstone.
