Software Engineering
The software engineering certificate program is intended for professionals who will be working in team environments while developing large-scale software projects. Students learn about the methods used in the systematic design, development, testing, and maintenance of software products. They study models used to specify requirements, strategies used in software development, and methods of testing and formal verification. To earn the certificate, student must complete six required courses, for a total of 18 semester hours. (Two semesters of Java or C++ programming are prerequisite, to the certificate coursework.)
