Mission
Firelands Regional Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology is dedicated to the education and development of students in the field of radiologic technology, so that each may achieve their full potential, regardless of rade, color, religion, handicap, age, sex, or national origin. This is consistent with the mission and vision of Firelands Regional Medical Center. Attainment of this mission encompasses a highly specialized program in radiologic technology. This education includes, not only scientific and technical learning, but also the development of character and moral integrity, to provide quality patient care. The curriculum has been developed to accomplish this goal. Through its administration, staff, and physical facilities, the school endeavors to meet the educational needs, provide competent role models, and provide other important services to the students. The program faculty believes that it is important for the student to learn the meaning of human dignity through responsibility to themselves and to the patients with whom they ahve contact. The primary mission of the school of radiologic technology is to educate the student as a whole person, who is not only polished in skill and technique, but also practices good ethical rpinciples, compassion, and understanding in the healthcare field today and tomorrow.
