Anderson College Bachelor degree Arts Ceramics | Anderson College | Ceramics at anderson University is about working intently with clay, transforming materials with fire and exploring new objects and expressions. Students create utilitarian pottery, dynamic ceramic sculpture, and everything in between. Along the way, they learn basic and advanced building and wheel-throwing techniques, glaze creation, and how to fire kilns. Students leave with the skills and knowledge they need to pursue graduate studies or to continue working as a successful artists and craftspeople.

| Anderson College Bachelor degree Criminal Justice | Anderson College | The Bachelor of Criminal Justice degree builds upon the strong foundation provided by associate degree programs in Criminal Justice. The program increases and complements the skills already attained by persons working in a variety of positions in law enforcement, corrections, probation, or other related fields. Students must transfer in at least 27-33 semester hours of Criminal Justice courses that were taken in an associate degree program such as one taught by majority of technical colleges. Upper level courses in social and behavioral sciences, as well as advanced courses in Criminal Justice, strengthen graduates’ ability to relate to and interact with the people they serve. | |
| Anderson College Bachelor degree Early Childhood/Elementary Education Certification | Anderson College | The Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education evening program is specifically designed for individuals who need the availability of evening classes to meet their educational needs. The curriculum includes an intensive course selection that will focus on teaching methods and techniques used in an early childhood/elementary setting. Included are such skills as managing the classroom, understanding diversity, working with the exceptional child, and creating a positive classroom environment. These courses may be taken as part of pursuing the Bachelor of Science degree in Education or taken as individual courses to satisfy recertification or add-on requirements. We have a five-term course rotation schedule so that all classes will be offered at least once over the course of one year. Some courses will be offered more than once.One can lead to certification to teach in public school programs for four-year-olds and kindergarten through grade 6. Students in the certification track can take all General Education and most Education courses as an ACCEL evening student, but during the last year you must become a traditional day student in order to get the required 100 hours of field experience and the 70 days of student teaching. Students wishing to gain teacher certification must pass through the same gates (i.e. process) as traditional day students. | |
