Agriculture is our business at Dodge City Community College’s Agriculture Science department. You can be a part of this broad-based, diverse and dynamic industry. From agri-business to industrial and production agriculture, there are a wide range of programs available at DCCC.

Agriculture at Dodge City Community College is not only taught in an indoor setting, but also outdoors with our Live Animal Science Lab. Each program offers you plenty of hands-on learning activities. A partnership with Koch Industries enables students to utilize a crop science lab to grow both alternative and traditional crops. Students have first hand experience at soil testing, fertilizing, planting, spraying, evaluating and harvesting at the crop science lab, located a few miles east of Dodge City.

Our faculty members are closely associated with the industry and have strong agricultural backgrounds. Graduates from DCCC go on to pursue careers in fields like commodity brokerage, crop consulting, banking, teaching, farm and ranch management, feedlot herdsman, meat inspecting, extension agents, livestock and grain producers.
