CCBC's Air Traffic Control program provides training in the application of non-radar/radar air traffic control procedures as well as control tower operator training and experience.

The only community college with a student-operated control tower, CCBC provides the opportunity for control tower certification and facility ratings, which meet FAA hiring qualifications.

This program is designed to offer students aviation subjects related to air traffic control (ATC). Students completing the program successfully can earn a Control Tower Operator Certificate for the air traffic control tower at the Beaver County Airport.

Flight instruction is provided by college approved fixed-based operators, FAA and VA approved flight schools.

Graduates may look forward to a career as an air traffic control specialist with the federal government, private industry, or military services. Additional opportunities exist in the rapidly expanding fields of general and commercial aviation.

Pre-requisites for entering the program include:
1. A current, second-class medical certificate (a first-class medical certificate is encouraged).

2. No speech impediments.
