The Animation program prepares students to pursue an entry-level position in 3D character animation, modeling, storyboarding, and special effects.
The successful animator is an actor, storyteller, and visual artist. Central to The Art Institute of York — Pennsylvania curriculum is the balance between electronic arts and traditional animation skills. Our courses will teach you how to bring your characters to life with realistic movement in 3-D digital environments that will engage your audience.
To prepare the Animation graduate for entry into the industry, a strong emphasis is placed on providing the student with the experience of working in a collaborative studio environment.
Since employers today put great emphasis on communication literacy, students take courses to develop skills in writing and public speaking. These skills are then used in all other courses. Students are introduced to psychology, professional development, history, and marketing to round out their education.
