The Arts and Humanities Division at Bellevue College offers courses and programs that deal with the cultures and expressions of human beings. These include the literary, visual and performing arts as well as other traditional humanities disciplines, including Philosophy, Communication Studies and World Languages. Arts and Humanities courses are an integral part of all academic and transfer degrees conferred by the college. Offerings in adult basic education, English as a Second Language, Developmental English, and an intensive English Language Institute equip students to fulfill life, work, and educational goals. The division is also home to a professional-technical degree in Interior Design. Responsible for about one-third of the credit instruction at BC, the division comprises more than 200 full- and part-time faculty and staff.
