Barton’s Automotive Technology Program is recognized by the
National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).
Barton’s NATEF Certification assures the automotive program
meets the standards of excellence established by automotive professionals
and educators nationwide.

Ensuring that each student is well prepared for successful
employment, Barton provides classroom instruction and hands-on
experience in utilizing state-of-the-art equipment in a large modern
shop. Second-year students enrolled in the Service Techniques
course learn to diagnose and repair customer vehicles as they
would in a professional garage. This experience boosts the transition
from student to professional technician.

Job opportunities abound in the automotive service industry, and
Barton’s automotive instructors assist students in job placement
according to their particular interests. Employment opportunities
include automotive technician, service adviser, parts specialist,
shop foreman and service manager.
