Program Objective

The objective of the Andover College business administration program is to
help students develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude that will
enable them to become ethical decision makers capable of working for and leading
organizations. We accomplish this through an innovative core curriculum that
fosters critical thinking skills, effective communication techniques, analytical
problem solving abilities, and an appreciation of a wide variety of people and
cultures. We combine these with the skills necessary to manage people and resources,
analyze markets and products, understand systems and processes, and think strategically.


Course Objectives


The objective of the Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration
program is to prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills, and work
habits required for an entry-level position in a variety of business fields.
The curriculum combines accounting and computer skills with a solid foundation
in managerial and interpersonal skills. Students gain teamwork and leadership
skills, as well as an ability to motivate people and communicate effectively.
Decision-making and problem-solving skills are also emphasized. Upon successful
completion of the program, graduates will be awarded an Associate of Applied
Science in Business Administration.
