The A.A.S. Degree Business will provide a foundation and exposure to the basic principles of business. The following course of study in Business will provide the necessary foundation for an individual in the business field. Students need a minimum of 60 semester credit hours and a 2.0 cumulative gradepoint-average to complete the program.
Upon completion of the specified course work of the non-transferable Associate in Applied Science, Business Management program, the graduate will:
Demonstrate mastery of the fundamentals of written and oral in the English language with emphasis on business communication.
Demonstrate skills in accounting and other business mathematical operations to perform entry level tasks with an acceptable degree of precision and accuracy.
Provide evidence of appropriate skill levels in using the kinds of programs included in office-suite software, and in understanding and working with various computer operating systems.
Demonstrate a broad-based knowledge of the disciplines of psychology, management, economics, and business law and skill in applying these disciplines to personnel supervision, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
