The Child-Care Ministry major leads to an Associate of Applied Arts degree and prepares you for the day-to-day ministry as a care giver to children of all ages in a child development center. In addition, you will be qualified to serve in children's ministries in the local church. Your training will be accomplished by practical classroom instruction and direct involvement in child-care procedures for children (infancy to K-4) in the University Child Development Center.

Career Opportunities

"Practicality" is the byword for the child-care ministry major. Since child-care is a growing field in the United States, highly trained, dedicated care givers are at a premium. Child-Care Ministry will qualify you to fill this role. Courses such as Child-Care Worker, Child Health and Safety, and Communicating with Children will help you understand, care for, and teach young children. Whether the Lord calls you to be a professional care giver, to minister to your own children, or to work with children in a church setting, this major will prepare you to do an excellent job for His glory.
