This program provides a comprehensive approach to criminal justice education and is intended
to prepare the student for a variety of career opportunities. The curriculum has a three-fold thrust:
(1) it should prepare the future peace officer to be a productive and efficient entry-level employee;
(2) it should provide broad technical training and experience leading the officer to positions of
increased responsibility; and (3) the course work is broad enough to provide a foundation for
further study within the field of criminal justice.
Successful completion of this program qualifies a student to apply for an Associate in Applied
Science degree Criminal Justice.
