What kind of work does a Criminal Justice graduate do?
You will learn to enforce laws, gather and compile statistical information, detect and apprehend criminals, prevent crime and delinquency, rehabilitate offenders, and provide safety and security to those around you. You will be prepared for work as a security officer, corrections officer, or law enforcement/police officer (you must be 21 years of age and pass required examinations to become a police officer in Pennsylvania).
Admissions Requirements
All applicants must complete four hours of observation with a criminal justice professional such as a law enforcement officer, security officer, correctional officer, or a professional working with an agency within the criminal justice system. Applicants must provide documentation of the observation from the criminal justice professional at the time of the admissions interview.
Each applicant will complete a security assessment form informing him of the requirement for successful completion of a criminal, motor vehicle, and credit check prior to the internship.
