Career Opportunities
Employment opportunities for qualified dental assistants exist in private dental offices, dental schools, hospital dental departments, or public health departments. The federal government employs dental assistants in the hospitals and dental clinics of the Public Health Service, the Veterans Administration, and the Armed Forces. Career and employment services are provided by the college. According to the Nebraska Workforce Development Occupational Projections, there will be an annual 36 percent
increase in dental assisting position openings across the state every year through 2014.
