Associate degree in E-Commerce Web Developer (AAS) at Alexandria Technical College

Practically every web site offers users an opportunity to purchase items over the Internet via their e-commerce web site. Persons that enroll in this program will learn the major components involved with developing and maintaining e-commerce and business-to-business web sites. Web technologies including JavaScript, XML, SQL, database development, database-web connectivity, web security, and secure e-commerce transaction processing will be taught. A hands-on, project-based approach to learning is emphasized. CIW education material will be used in the appropriate courses to prepare students for certification. Software tools used include current versions of: Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop, Flash, Homesite, Access, and ColdFusion.
