The Information Technology degree program is a unique program of study that interfaces the major areas of Applications, Business, Engineering, and Information Services into a degree for total flexibility in the rapidly changing information technology environment. Students may select from the four majors listed below, and may custom design their degree with selected Specialty Options. By working closely with an Advisor, students are able to sequence the courses required for their selected degree.
The study of electronic commerce involves both a business component and a technology component that focuses on the theory and practice of doing business on the internet. Electronic commerce increases sales opportunities for sellers and provides buyers with a wider range of choices when deciding which goods to purchase.
The objective of the E-Commerce Specialty is to provide the student with the technological and strategic background necessary for implementation and management of on-line business activities. Students will also study the economic foundation of electronic commerce and how business strategies combined with technological implementation can lead to increased profits for an organization. E-Commerce is offered in day sequencing. Students enrolled in this program can complete the requirements in as little as 18 months.
