Early Childhood Education Special Education degree is designed for students planning to seek employment in the child care field. The student should note the differences in general education requirements for the A.A. and A.A.S. degrees. The 30 credit hours in Early Childhood Education and related courses are the same for both degrees. Butler’s EduCare Center serves as a lab site for the program as well as a daycare facility.
After Butler
Transfer students need to consult with an academic advisor concerning transferring of classes to colleges and universities. Upon completion, any of our associate degree programs in Early Childhood Education will qualify you to direct a center of over 100 children as well as teach and or administrate in childcare centers. With a certificate or an associate degree Early Childhood Education you can start a career as a child care director, child care teacher, special education paraprofessional, Head Start teacher or Early Head Start teacher.
