-Degree Requirements-
By completing the Education curriculum, students should meet the requirements of the first two years of a four-year teacher preparation program. Students intending to pursue a baccalaureate degree education should consult the requirements of that institution when planning their program of studies. Students with an AA in Education are qualified for positions as teaching aides or teaching assistants in public schools.

Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the Education Program of Study, the student will be able to
  • Communicate effectively clearly, accurately, and professionally orally and in writing
  • Execute logical reasoning skills in problem solving by applying mathematical and scientific principles
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze artistic expression with knowledgeable perspective and effectively communicate that perspective to students

  • Promoting appropriate use of technology for learning
