Program Description

The Computer Servicing/Networking Engineering Technician learns a broad skill set including, but not limited to the following:

Repair and maintain computers
A+ Certification preparation
Software support
Network operating systems
Basic and advanced network setup and troubleshooting
Soft skills – customer service
Telecommunications skills
Basic wireless skills
Advanced wireless skills
Construction of wireless networks
Fiber optics
General electronics technician skills
Circuit analysis
Circuit troubleshooting
Analog and digital circuit design

The computer servicing/networking technician is a specialist in computer hardware and software. He/she understands how to repair desktop PC’s and how to set up and administer LAN’s (local area networks). Along with those graduates who are hired as computer servicing/networking technicians, many others are hired to work on computers other than desktop and servers, such as:

Telecommunication computers/switches
Any type of industrial system that is computer controlled
Automotive computers, both engine management and body computers
Medical equipment
Cellular phone systems
