The Elementary Education degree provides the first two years of college for students preparing to become elementary teachers in the state of Maryland. It is designed for students desiring to transfer to a Maryland four-year college or university to earn a bachelor’s degree elementary teacher education. This degree has been articulated with all of the transfer programs in elementary education in the State of Maryland. To earn the A.A.T. degree, students must graduate with a 2.75 GPA, pass the PRAXIS I Exam and complete a professional portfolio approved by the Director of Education.
