This program is designed for those individuals interested in providing First Responder, EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, and/or MICT initial training courses and approved EMS continuing education programs in the State of Kansas. It will provide the participant with opportunities to gain information and practice as an I/C in the State of Kansas. This program has been approved by the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services. It addresses information and techniques currently considered to be the responsibilities of the IC according to the Kansas Board of EMS. Curriculum is based upon the National Guidelines for Educating EMS instructors (NAEMSE), Kansas Enrichments as recommended by the Kansas Education and Examination Workgroup, and Kansas Basic Life support skills task analysis and applicable statutes and regulations.
