The Water Wastewater major under the Environmental Engineering Technology (EVET) program places an emphasis on water wastewater treatment, as well as the operation and design of water wastewater treatment facilities. Courses focus on biological, physical, and chemical treatment processes; collection and distribution systems; calculations for water wastewater personnel safety; statistics; and quality assurance and control. Graduates of the Environmental Engineering Technology—Water Wastewater major program go on to work at municipal water wastewater treatment plants; industrial wastewater treatment facilities; federal, state, and local government agencies; private civil and environmental engineering consulting firms; and water wastewater analytical labs.
