The degree provides students with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities to obtain employment in the environmental resource field. Academic skills emphasizing related math, science and human relations components are stressed to prepare students to meet challenges common in the workplace.
STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES - Graduates of this program will have the opportunity to:
Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of the management of hazardous materials and its impact on the human health and the environment.
Demonstrate an understanding of the various laws, regulations and guidelines that are applicable to the ESH arena, and how they drive decision making in the management of hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
Demonstrate an understanding of the concept of Industrial Hygiene as it applies to various industrial settings.
Demonstrate adequate knowledge of hazardous materials management, relevant skills, and other core degree requirements necessary to assume a supervisory position within the context of
Environmental Safety and Health.
