The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degrees range from 64 to 85 credits and include at least 18 semester credits of general education. Students must select courses from at least three goal areas of the MnTC.
The program focuses on the study of hydraulics, pneumatics,electricity, electronics, programmable logic controller (PLC), robotics, automation, and related subjects. Students will learn the function, application, and operational theory of hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation components. In addition, they will also learn to service, troubleshoot, repair, test, and design those components. Ample laboratory time allows students to experiment and solve individual and assigned problems. An optional Associate in Applied Science degree is available by taking additional general education coursework.
