The General Studies Curriculum serves a two-fold function: (1) to enable students to explore the general areas of higher education and to help them to determine a major field of concentration; and (2) to serve as a curriculum which, through the wide selection of elective courses, can be adapted to satisfy specific requirements of a particular four-year college to which the student
desires to transfer.
