Upon completion of the Early Childhood Education option, the graduate will:
Demonstrate mastery of the fundamentals of written and oral communication in the English language.
Demonstrate a broad-based knowledge of the disciplines of humanities and fine arts, social sciences, history/political science, and Native American studies.
Demonstrate mastery of the appropriate levels of knowledge and skill in the disciplines of computer information systems, physical and biological sciences, mathematics for elementary teachers, and health and wellness.
Through the completion of specialized college level course-work in parenting, human development, special education, practica, and other early childhood education oriented courses, graduates will demonstrate the appropriate competencies to serve as an early childhood teacher or paraprofessional.
