Upon completion, the student will be eligible to sit for certification as an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Group Fitness Instructor. The program core focuses on the foundations necessary to successfully compete and succeed in the fitness industry as a Certified Group Fitness Instructor. Students completing this degree will be exposed to introductions in biomechanics, sports nutrition,sports psychology, motor development, exercise physiology, injury prevention, emergency procedures, and health screening in addition to general education requirements, and may pursue degrees/career paths in athletic training, personal training, sports officiating, kinesiology, health promotion, and allied health fields.
