The two-year Hazardous Materials Management Program will allow students to earn an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science and prepare them for the work force. After the coursework is completed at Barton, students will be able to conduct studies on hazardous waste materials and take soil or debris samples at contaminated sites and analyze, identify, inventory, package, label and ship hazardous waste. Graduates may choose to work for the government, waste management companies, utility companies and hazardous waste engineering companies.
