The combination of theory and applied broadcasting courses with liberal arts studies is designed to allow students to transfer to four-year institutions as Broadcasting majors. Career options open to four-year Broadcasting graduates include radio/TV operations and management, announcing, copywriting, newscasting, sportscasting, camera operations, directing, technical directing and others.
Graduates of this program will be able to:
Demonstrate basic knowledge of TV studio or digital audio equipment
Explain basic concepts about the history, theories, social effects, terminology and aesthetics of communication
Apply concepts to the analysis of media content
Investigate and synthesize information on topics and questions related to course concepts
