The Associate in Science (AS) degrees are 64 credits in length. Each of them contains 40 credits of general education and 24 credits of technical education. The 40 general education credits are designed to allow students to complete the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC), which is transferable in whole or in part to other MnSCU colleges and universities. The AS degree is designed primarily to meet the needs of transfer students.The other awards from Alexandria Technical College are designed to prepare students for the world of work and include more technical credits and less general education credits.
