Instrumentation technology refers to the controls on equipment that affect speeds of chemical reactions, quality and yields. As an instrument technician, you will design, install, repair, and troubleshoot the control systems used in processing plants. Instrument technicians also work in the manufacturing and sales of control systems for the process industry.

Instrumentation technology is rapidly advancing, so training is ongoing as facilities incorporate the new technology. The Texas Gulf Coast industries are some of the largest suppliers of petrochemicals in the world. They need instrument technicians to fill job vacancies created by a large number of retiring professionals.

Brazosport College classes give you hands-on labs with current instrumentation used in local industry. You will also work with instructors who have contacts in the field – and who have real-life experience.

We offer you a degree . With the degree option, you’ll experience an internship – a great way to earn income and college credit.
