The Internet has rapidly grown into the primary vehicle for delivering information technology solutions of all kinds to users worldwide, from e-commerce transactions based on relational databases and applications to video, music and animation. Edison's Internet Technologies program provides the student the knowledge necessary to meet the demands of this diverse profession.
In addition to the five general Internet Technologies outcomes, the student will:
Construct complex user applications using the appropriate object oriented programming language, scripting languages, database design and development, and Hypertext and Extensible Markup Languages (HTML and XML);
Develop Web solutions via the use of Web development tools to include HTML editors, Web application generators, graphics, animation and video development and editing;
Create Web architectures by integrating various Web technologies into a complete system solution that meets user performance, cost and schedule requirements;
Evaluate and appraise Web based information systems for effective communication and usability.
