This program prepares graduates for employment as Sign Language Interpreters, who facilitate communication between deaf and hard of hearing individuals, and the hearing population. Upon successful completion of the associate degree program, graduates will have the skills required for employment in school districts, and deaf and hard of hearing service centers. In addition, graduates will work as free-lance interpreters in a wide range of settings in which interpretation is required, including education, employment, recreation,health care, and legal services.
