-Degree Requirements-
The Associate Arts (AA) and Bachelor of Liberal Arts (ALB) degree programs are designed for working adults who appreciate the intellectual rigor and professional value of a liberal arts degree. Our candidates learn to think critically, write well, and speak with authority on a range of topics from Plato's Apology to Internet technologies. Students may complete a degree begun at another school or earn their entire undergraduate degree in the evening for a cost ($550-$825 per course) that is far less than traditional college tuition.

Degree candidates can concentrate in one of 20 fields; pursue such curriculum choices as premedicine, law, and teacher preparation; study abroad or via distance education; and take day courses in the Harvard Faculty of Arts Sciences as Special Students. The undergraduate program provides a solid foundation for advancing a professional career or embarking on postgraduate studies. Most AA graduates go on to earn an ALB degree, and ALB graduates have completed advanced degrees in such diverse areas as business, clinical psychology, computer science, education, and law at numerous graduate and professional schools, including Harvard, MIT, Stanford, and Yale.
