|
The program in Manufacturing Engineering is a high technology transfer program. Manufacturing processes, control systems, measurement theory and quality are just a few of the advanced areas with which students will be involved. In the manufacturing courses, focus is on projects involving real-world industry problems. Teamwork and collaboration are emphasized in all labs and shops. Because engineering is involved in design of new products, the mathematics and science that form the basis for change are an integral part of the program. Admission to the program requires that the student place into the calculus sequence. Students with less background will be enrolled in the Manufacturing Technology Program as a "bridge" to the engineering program.
