The Mechanical Engineering Technology curriculum prepares graduates for employment as mechanical engineering technicians. Typical assignments would include assisting in the design, development, manufacture and testing of mechanical parts assemblies and equipment. Emphasis is place on the integration of theory and mechanical principles.

Course work includes machining technology, computer numerical control machining, computer aided manufacturing, computer-aided drafting, strength of materials, mathematics, physics, and oral and written communications. The courses will stress critical thinking, planning, and problem solving.
Graduates of the curriculum will find employment opportunities in the diversified branches of the mechanical field. Mechanical engineering technicians are employed in many types of manufacturing, fabrication, research and development, and service industries Industries in our area who use graduates from this program include, Carver Machine Works, Stanadyne, Flanders Filters, Weir Valves, Camfil Farr, PCS, Simpson, Vermont-American, and many many more.
